There has been a café in this building under the name Ann’s Pantry since at least 1926. For generations, it has been a place for coffee and cake, conversation and comfort — a familiar stop for locals and visitors alike.
Our customers often tell us that Ann’s Pantry was one of the few places able to source chocolate during the war — a small but much-loved luxury at a difficult time. Today, we’re proud to continue that tradition of simple pleasures and friendly service.
Celebrating 100 Years
In 2026, Ann’s Pantry reaches a very special milestone — 100 years of welcoming customers through its doors.
As we approach our centenary, we’re celebrating the stories, memories and moments that have made Ann’s Pantry part of so many lives. We’re honoured to continue the tradition, just as this café has always done.
